Welcome to Kingsthorpe State School,
We acknowledge the Jarowair, Giabal and Western Wakka Wakka peoples as the traditional custodians of the land upon which our school is built.
At Kingsthorpe State School, children receive an education in a safe and respectful learning environment. Behaviour expectations are taught and acknowledged using the Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) philosophy.
We prioritise English and mathematics in all year levels as well as offering a range of extra-curricular activities such as Kindness Club, Chess Club, Gardening Club and instrumental music.
We implement the Australian Curriculum in all subjects. Staff provide quality, engaging learning experiences that meet individual needs. The teachers here are consistently impressive in their dedication and ability to provide and promote an excellent learning environment. We are a progressive, busy and vibrant school.
Teachers and teacher aides engage in professional development opportunities on a regular basis. The capacity of the staff is built through collegial engagement both at the school and cluster level, and a collaborative team approach is fostered to ensure consistency of curriculum delivery.
Please contact our office on 4699 2333 fo any enrolment questions. We look forward to welcoming you to our school!
