Welcome to Kingsthorpe State School,
We acknowledge the Jarowair, Giabal and Western Wakka Wakka peoples as the traditional custodians of the land upon which our school is built and recognise that these lands have always been places of teaching and learning.
At Kingsthorpe State School, children receive an education in a safe and respectful learning environment. Behaviour expectations are taught and acknowledged using the Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) philosophy. Our school motto “Education is Life” reminds us that learning is a lifelong process and opens opportunities for all of us.
We prioritise English and Mathematics in all year levels as well as offering a range of extra-curricular activities.
We implement the Australian Curriculum in all subjects. Staff provide quality, engaging learning experiences that meet individual needs. Our teachers are consistently impressive in their dedication and ability to provide and promote an excellent learning environment. We are a progressive, busy and vibrant school.
Teachers and Teacher Aides engage in professional development opportunities on a regular basis. The capacity of the staff is built through collegial engagement both at the school and cluster level, and a collaborative team approach is fostered to ensure consistency of curriculum delivery.
Please contact our office on 4699 2333 for any enrolment questions. We look forward to welcoming you to our school!
